Sold Out

August 16 | 1-Day Immersive Experience at Mount Wolfe Farm, Caledon | $100

Join us for a full day of hands-on learning where you’ll be guided through the process of transforming rabbit hides into soft, supple tanned material using traditional, all-natural methods. This workshop is designed to be accessible, practical, and deeply respectful of the animal’s life.

You’ll learn:

• How to flesh and prepare hides

• The fundamentals of natural tanning

• Techniques for softening and finishing

• Ethical sourcing and hide care

This is a great entry point into hide tanning—small hides, big learning. Whether you’re a homesteader, a craftsperson, or simply curious about ancestral skills, you’ll leave with the know-how to repeat the process at home and your own finished rabbit pelt.

This is a one-day, outdoor experience, held rain or shine at Mount Wolfe Farm in Caledon.

All tools and materials are provided.

Please bring your own lunch, water, and outdoor clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.

No experience necessary—just a willingness to work with your hands and learn something real.
