Mother Clucker Chicken Cull - Mount Wolfe Farm, 10054 Old Church Rd. Caledon ON, L7E 0P4 ON

Join us Saturday, Nov 8th, for Mother Cluckers Chicken Cull #4.

In this day-long workshop, develop important life skills honouring the animals we consume through the act of dispatch and processing ethically raised chickens.

Throughout the experience, we’ll hold space for each other gently, acknowledging that we all come from different starting points and comfort levels with this practice.

We aim to create a supportive environment, embracing this sensitive task with reverence

At the end of this workshop, you will know how to :

  1. Cone and knife dispatch

  2. Broom dispatch

  3. Hand pluck

  4. Barrrel pluck

  5. Clean and store

With these skills, you will be knowledgeable in both small and medium-scale home flock processing. More importantly, whether you have a flock or not, you will leave with an even deeper appreciation for the animals that feed us and our communities.

Join us as we embark on this journey of skill, connection, understanding, and mindful reflection with the animals and food that sustain us.

We will provide all tools and an apron.

Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and a dinner potluck contribution.

Note that due to Ontario meat and slaughter regulations, you will leave with a valuable skill but not a chicken.

Please arrive at 9am

** We accept payment by e-transfer only.

Sliding scale $80 - $100.

Please note your ORDER # at checkout, and include it in a note with your e-transfer payment to phew.workshops@gmail.com to complete your order **
